Optima celebrates “Regional Day” in and with Schwaebisch Hall - a “Festival of Variety”

15,000 visitors on one day, a new record for Schwaebisch Hall. The Regional Day, together with the Jakobi Market and Sunday shopping made this possible on 27.07.2014. As well as a super program of cultural events, visitors were able to enjoy culinary highlights and experience particular craftmanship under the theme of “Variety in our Region”. The full package, so to speak! Optima as a traditional Schwaebisch Hall company of course took part. "Always with a view to the future, it is very important for us to be present as an attractive employer in Schwäbisch Hall and at the same time to give a little insight into our Optima Family", according to Anita Meister, Marketing Manager at Optima.

Under the Motto “Top performance in duo pack”, jointly with the bikers of the MHW cube racing team the company presented itself and all that unites it: endurance and technical abilities. With Michael Weber at the microphone (manager of the racing team and an employee of Optima for many years) the bikers who have won many awards demonstrated their biker skills most impressively – whether on training bikes, on the obstacle course or at top speed down the steps. “Hats off to these guys!” was the comment of a visitor to our stand.

Also met with great enthusiasm were the exhibits of our apprentices, trainees and DH students (DH = German University of Cooperative Education). Children eyes were fascinated when these little visitors were able to control a Lego robot from our Robotics voluntary work group. This had been assembled, programmed and configured by the apprentices in cooperation with Schwaebisch Hall secondary school pupils in their Robotics voluntary work group. Projects of this kind have been supervised by Optima for many years already.

The kids also enjoyed driving an excavator, a mini digger specially made by apprentices. Here a great deal of precision and fine feeling was needed.

Such actions for people of all ages here met with curiosity and inquisitiveness on the part of “do-it-yourselfers” who wanted to know all the details. This enthusiasm for technology is exemplary. To questions such as “in what vocational training program can I learn that at Optima?” or “what must I be able to do, to work at Optima?” Optima trainers of course had the right answers.
